I put this as a question in the "Pick one pass it on" thread, so...I began thinking if people would rather be a zoophile and be an exile from "normal" standards...Or...Be a traditional "normal" person with m/f human relationships.Would you rather be "normal" or zoophile?I, for one, like who I am. A zoo-exclusive zoophile.

Let me clarify things up a bit...Im going to consider you a zoo if you have or want ANY sexual relationship with an animal.Im going to consider you normal if you have or want sexual relationships ONLY with humans of the oposite sex.That said this asking not what you ARE, but what you would RATHER be - yourself with us "un natural people". Or normal with them "natural" people and be accepted.You cannot be both.Sorry if this is too picky.
personally i love who i am ... it is me and i wound want to change ... if i had it all to do over again i would go the same route ... ok maybe i would change a few other things along the way but i would definitely still be zoo.normality is ssooo over rated...

It would be easier to be "normal"but I'm comfortable in who I am...
I will always hold a preference for being an exclusive zoophile. Even with all the difficulty it can produce, life is so much more interesting with such an orientation. To be "normal" would be like giving up who I am and who I want to be.
I am a lover of animals and people. I have a GF, but not proud of the fact that I do my zoo activities in secret to everyone else.I feel more satisfied and passionate with animals though.And you don't have them demanding money off you to buy a new gucci outfit, lol.

NO ONE is normal
Well if the question really is, if you were to magically snap your fingers to take away our zooish/beasty desires, would you. To be honest, probably not. Its not so much that I wouldn't like being involved in a human relationship (as many in here seem to be able to accomplish), but I just don't think its possilbe for myself. I like the idea that I could find a compatible human partner with which I could share my lifestyle. But to be honest, I am shit at human relations. To be perfectly frank, I don't think I am personally capable of feeling human love. I just can't seem to muster up the emotions that other people describe when they fall in love with another human. While everyone wan't to be accepted and liked and part of the group. Taking away the love I feel for dogs is not going to give the ability to love my own species. I know that I can feel love with regard to animals. Its just I've never come anywhere near those feelings with people, not even my parents. Human love in general is a bafflement to me. I know that makes me a misanthrope, but what can you do. Then to take away the love I can feel for animals, would then leave me with nothing to feel except ennui and depression and hate. That's a pretty miserable state of affairs, so definitely I would not like to have taken away what little positive emotions I feel. Hence I would not give up my love for animals.
Energydog's post explained this very well and I have similar feelings to his, but mine are also just a little bit different.I won't give up my zoo life. It's who I am and who I wish to be. The love I feel for animals is constant and never-ending. Does this mean I don't like humans at all? No, it does not. I would love to be able to share and have a relationship with a special man, who accepts all of me. The thing is, I won't settle for just any relationship with a man. I've done human relationships, mostly hiding or not sharing any of my zoo life. I can't live like that anymore, its not fair to my human partner or myself. My greatest dream is to have both a canine lover and a human lover at my side. Maybe it will happen and maybe it won't. Until then, I will live my life as a zoo, very happy and content.

In a perfict world I would be zoo only and the heck with people other than basic life functions such as work and things. I only realy relate with people to not draw attention to my self. I really just don't like people for the most part, other than the people from here and some close personal friends and family.

My wife and I were talking about the animals today during a long car ride. I told her that I didn't care if my penis fell off (well I would really, but for the purposes of making my hypothetical point), if my penis fell off I would still love my horses with all of my heart and wouldn't change anything, (except of course that I wouldn't stick my penis in them anymore. My relationship with my animals is not based on sex, rather it is based on love. I am very proud of the love I have for my animals, and I am proud to say that I would put my life on the line for any one of them, and would never abandon them for any reason.

I've had a few short term relationships with human females but never felt any form of love. I found I preferred to be with a male canine as my sole companion. For me I only feel love between canines because an animal doesn't deceive and cannot hurt you, they can only show affection As for the topic, I just don't belong with the same species nor would I want to change if it was possible and in my eyes, this is normal no matter how many people oppose it.

For me, being zoo ist my life, and I would not give it in change for anything. I live happily being a zoo, if others dislike, let it be their problem. If I got the chance for a new life after this, I would likely go for a zoo life again. Imagine the boring life of a boring normal hetero!

Well, I like men (and women lol) but I prefer a dog. I would rather live with a dog than with a guy or girl- it's just a more fulfilling relationship for me. I'm not averse to people at all; I enjoy being around them but I guess I feel closest to a dog. I suppose in a perfect world I'd integrate a guy and a dog into my life- maybe that will happen someday but I don't dwell on the possibility. Things are what they are and I am ok with that!kay

Well, it would be great to see it as a poll just so you could see the percentages on this. However, my interpretation of the rules is that double posting isn't allowed, regardless of whether it's done by one member or two different members. Not a big deal though, it's still a really cool thread and I am enjoying reading members responses on this topic! Thanks again for the great thread, and here's another 10 vote!
I'm perfectly ok with my zoo'ness. I wouldnt choose to be "normal" cuz dogs are better in so many wayz than chicks. Proud to be a zoo~TD

Born a zoo. Never had any desire or need to be anything other than what I am. Being a zoo is 'better' than not being one, I wouldn't trade the gift for anything in the world.
I consider myself a perfectly normal g a y male that enjoys sexual relationships with non humans and humans. I don't know that you can label someone as abnormal when their personal feelings are totally normal for them.What is normal for one is complete lunacy for another. I think it's better to arouse the deepest passionate feelings in yourself and then act on them as long as they harm no other living creature, man or animal.
