So, sounds like Denmark's politicans decided, like most politicians in the world, to beat the "morality" drums to make themselves look good, and freedom to live the way you want be damned. This will always be the problem with us zoos - we are a very marginal group in terms of sexuality, and people tend to love to be close-minded about sexual preferences that they do not share. And politicans (again, I'm not talking about just Denmark, but the whole world - I think it's just a basic, though sad, human tendency) tend to play to whatever they think will make them the most popular, whatever justice or common sense may say. And this, I think, is why things tend to get harder and harder for us zoos.Politicans... I'm sure there are some that actually have backbones and senses of ethics...but I've never actually heard of one yet... *gets off soapbox*
Now take it easy!A very good report has been made, but unfortunately the medias did not pay much attention, other things were more interesting.There is mainly one politician who make everything he can to make himself a profile. Anti-zooisshness is one of them. He cries, but he cry loud.Right now he act as a bad loser.Meanwhile all the rest of the public has got tired of the discussion.Time will show what happens.I am not too worried.

Wire Well that is a scarry thought thoughSo my idea of an 70's animal free love in with entertainment and a few hundred people there was to soon..??Hay it worked with folk songs in Vermont..And for a wile there was free love at the horse shows. I do not know how the horses did but the trainers, grooms and owners had a blast.Some fool just had to breed a mare at a show once. I found a quiet corner but by the time we got the horses there we had as many people to watch as in the stands..[Eastern stud western mare + no AI yet , AI ten years away]Every one loved it cept I walked that stud all night for to da$ days. Ohhh the old days sleeping in the bed of a truck under a cap or in a tack stall next to your horse [who would not sleep see above], camping for a week at the show, drinking, eating off a barbycue grill, cheep wine for salid dressing. Getting drunk on the salid, riding drunk in the evening classes. Going from one stable to a nother all sitting around on muck buckets eating off every ones grills, it dident matter how much you earned, how well you did at the show, how much you paid for your horse. It.. was funNow its all motor homes and catered dinners. My horse trailer is as comfortable as my houses bedroom all it needs is a bar but they dont let me drink realy any more so I dont miss it. Wouldent know much about bar tending..er.. wiskey and ice I'll take the bottle. Why do the old days have to go they were fun.Old is not badI miss my old horses[they are fine they have a bunch of old friends looking out for them till we get there]my horse is old [one of two]Err RightWireWe will keep all our fingers crossed You did a wonderful job people just are not wonderfull any more.If the love in is off I'll e-mail you some recepiesRus

Rus, I think Wyldfyre was referring to Ilovetheknot's cryptic statement of "sic" and nothing else, and thought maybe he meant to comment on your spelling (and we're not here to police each other's spelling errors).You post was terrific - nothing to apologise for! And it sounds like that must have been quite an interesting lifestyle! I think I would have been a little too tempted myself, what with all those lovely mares around...

Lets face it, it won't be long before bestiality will be condemned in the entire world. I fear that also it won't be long before governments start rounding up anyone who expreses thier sexuality differently from the "normal" folks and sent to prison, or worse.
Thanks the spelling is learning disability I reverse things. I had the same einglish teachers in high school so I did all right.. Its hardest in working computers so I avoid programing but a missplaced dot ruins your hole weekend..Its a thril to work wire bundles with over 100 wires all with 6>8 bigit wire numbers on them. The more tired I get the worse it gets.. I try to type fast and think all the lines are there but I noticed that post needed help by morning..I was thinking how much fun things were then compared to now. Our customers were upper middle working people I miss the just fun of the old showing.. Today its all business ..ThanksRus

What i'm thinking about the old days you talk about is , why i wasn't born 50 years ago? I missed all the beauty of life... The image you portraied about you and your horse is so emotional , i was aways thinking that i would love to live alone at at a nice far way property , with my mate , as far away from the eyes of the peoples as posible , justy me and her, with nothing to fear , of being caught or being harmed by bad peoples that don't understand anything about love...just takeing the life one day at a time...is this crazy?.
I would have to disagree with Hozzman on the fact about the goverment getting crackin down on us. I do believe that you are correct on the fact that bestiality is eventually gunna be banned, but zoophilia is gunna be around no matter what the government or anyone has against it.peace

Thats pretty much true, laws are laws but that doesn't mean people still won't feel a sertain way or not follow the laws. At least we have the comfert of knowing that there are others that feel the same way.
Language is on an international bord tricky at best..We worked horses with some old established stud farms. The owners were always there remembering horses back it the 20's>30's.. How they moved, acted and if they were good producers. When we started we worked for some and there trainers to learn, we had shuch good times, it was the love of the horse not the ribbons. We always were blessed with great horses, not a lot of money so there help in keeping us on the road kepted us there.. We stabled with them and they not only coached there own customers but us as well..If we pinned over them they were happy and supportave.The saddest thing is nothing lives for ever. And the new people are the me generation.History and bloodlines not inportant to the new people have been lost, some of the blood for ever now..Being alown is getting harder but you are not alown in your wish.. The hardest thing is keeping an income and the axcess to vet & medical..We took show championships at shows with over 500 entrys. But I had a person say to me I need to breed my mare. My stud was in frount of this peraon. I pointed him out and he said "I need to breed to a horse with a name" It was not my stud's name it was mine I work for a living. I do not do wine tastings. The old days people sent us customers because our blood would cross better now people just order seamen from a horse they have never seen but they have bread to a horse with a name.We lost the last of our old friends this spring. I have a stud I can talk to who knows if I am down. He tries to make my life better and despite he is a horse I find I tell him storys at his last check...He would like to be back to work, I would like to be more well and back to work as well. The past was a different time.. I am not the only horsemen to want to go back. But I remember things that we did and tell him storys, he likes the time and I remembered the old timer now gone would always check his horses before bed and if he could not sleep tell them storys. He was a vet a lot of late nights behind him who loved what he did more than life.. The past is simpler we are comfortable there but we must remember it to go forward safelyTake careRus
