Was curious if anyone else had heard of the new movie by Bobcat Golthwait? The movie starts with a college girl whos bored, so she decides to have sex with here dog The rest of the movie plays around with the fact that thats here dark secret A local morning radio show talked to Bobcat and the interviews really funny so I've included it here. Curious what other people think of this. Personally I love it and can't wait to see the movie. In theaters Oct 20th by the way Apparently you can't load mp3 files on the board, so I had to add .wmv on the end. Be sure to take it off to play it.

Depends on how it handles beasty issues, and if it's even a movie worth watching...Bobcat has never been known for his great film presence. I'll wait till someone else here sees it.

"An impulsive sexual encounter (with a dog) from her past haunts Amy, an otherwise seemingly normal young woman with a bright future and nice-guy fiancé. But her fiancéhas suggested that the couple be completely honest and tell each other everything! When Amy finally relents, encouraged to tell the truth by her coworkerand mother (neither of whom really knows what she has to disclose), and reveals her secret, all hell breaks loose."Sounds like they're portraying it fairly negatively to me... http://a.videodetective.com/?PublishedID=74318There's a trailer...

I kind of doubt any movie that uses bestiality as a opening premise is going to portray it positively...gotta sell tickets to the mainstream public afterall, and not piss off communities or movie theatre owners.

[ Home | Show post at BeastForum.com ]

Posted by Horsedan on October 11th 2006, 22:45

I think I'll keep an open mind on it, until I see the movie. The fact that the main character had sex with a dog I think is possitive, whatever is said after the act. The public generally perceives anyone who has sex with an animal as some lowlife not capable of functioning in society. The movie shows that someone who has sex with an animal can be a perfectly normal happy person. I think the movie has her regretting it after the fact, but again, so what. She must have enjoyed it at the time and again, just the fact that she did it shows that other "normal" people might also be doing it. We can't expect some mainstream bestiality movie that shows how great it is (when so many people are disgusted by it), so I'm just happy that a small step is made. And who knows, maybe if enough steps are made, the big pro bestiality movie can be made

Yeah, I still really want to see it It's not often, in the media, you hear about women with animals, it's usually men, so it should be intersting... Horsedan has a point that it shows that you don't have to be a lowlife to do it, and it doesn't look like the dog was rushed off to the vet thanks to pain inflicted in the act, etc.

Yet what is to be sure another coup by the world famous director/producer Bobcat Goldthwait. Its a relationship/light comedy that revolves a minor incident where a girl confessed that she blew a dog when she was in college. Don't get your hopes up that its a zoo based or zoo leaning movie. The incident is disscussed is only a minor causal factor for the other characters to start discussing hidden secrets. In short its not going to help our cause in any way shape or form. Though it may be amusing in its own right.

Well it took me awhile but I found the first 8 Minutes of the movie, it reveals the "Secret" so if you don't want to be spoiled don't go watch. And since, if I read the rules right, I can't post a link to the file and I can't find a way to convert the file, yet. I will just tell you where to find it, and if anyone finds the part where she tells her fiancée or where anyone else mentions it I would like to see that part as well.So simply go to Google then Videos and then type in Sleeping Dogs Lie and find the file labeled SLEEPING DOGS LIE- FIRST 8 MINUTES, it should be on the first page.I think I have been within the rules, but if not I apologize.

There are at least two other threads about this movie, and in one I mentioned that the film was in theaters in the USA in October '06 (I didn't know about it back then), and theatrical release in France was in late February '07... I see from your profile that you are in UK... is it in theaters there also? Here in the USA we have to now wait for the DVD release date of April 10. If I had the extra finances, I would take a trip to Europe to see it. Actually, if I had the money, I would visit Europe again regardless! The movie would be a bonus! *sigh* Guess I'll just have to wait...

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew if it had any special features, I did not think to look until I had left, and if it was worth getting just to see them, I have already downloaded and seen the movie. Also I had a thought when I saw it; this could be a good movie to judge if your partner is into this or not. Because you could judge their reaction to the scene where she blows (implied) the dog, if nothing else it could be an opener to a conversation on the subject.

There are only trailers to other movies & a commentary by the Director that was ok but nothing great. I'd give the movie 7/10 because it switches from a happy comedy to a sad drama about 2/3 into the movie. It is a great movie to see if your friends are zoo friendly since I know know that two of my friends aren't.

I watched the film some time ago, and I found it to be fairly enjoyable. I was a little surprised by the turn away towards the dramatic end, mostly because the cover image seemed to give the idea that the movie was predominately a comedy film. For that reason, I have mixed feelings about the final half of the movie. Given the events that happen, it leans toward a negative display of bestiality, but it does a good job of starting out with the humor. If you're looking for movies that promote zoophilia, this isn't one of them, but I can see how it'd be a good movie to gauge other people's reactions on the subject. Since the sexual act is only implied and never shown, it's shouldn't make non-zoos too uncomfortable to watch.I'd say it's worth watching at least once if you're interested in it. I almost feel like watching it again, maybe I'll get around to it.

She isn't a zoo though and say's she never will be.After seeing this movie I'm NEVER gonna tell my parents or other friends I dont see on here. Maybe if I know for a fact their going to pass away soon I MIGHT. Kinda shows how sad soceity is and how judgemental everyone is. Makes really sick. It's like just accept the person so what that their into whatever you find disgusting and wrong. Example I'm not but I have friends who like the same sex. Does it bug me no, and so my mind sorta grouped that category of sexual preferneces in with wanting to be with an animal. As odd as that is but hell I'm proud of what I like! Love ya allSMM
