Recently there has been anter case of horse ripping herearound. It made me think - what caues a human to act that was, let's cal it zoosadism?I have made some thoughts that could be the reason why someone act like that.1:Zoophobia. Someone has a sexual orientation towards animals, but denies it in his/hers consciousness. As a reaction he tries to damage or destroy that dangerous object (animal genetials) thus making it useless, and no longer "dangerous" for his self-knowledge as a good non-zoophile citizen.2:The zoosadist ist an underdog in his normal life. He has to face injustice in his job and/or family life, and his position in society makes him be the one who gets subdued every time. Towards an animal he then tries to make another injustice, but changing the roles, for once allowing himself to be the one in control, and subdue others, let it be an animal when nothing else is awailable, for a change.3:The zoosadist is a psychopath, and shows all signs of this distortion. But again, his place in society puts limits on how he can act towards other humans. Most psycopaths bring themselves in postitions where the can subdue other humans, but some do not have that option. Then some animal must face the attention of the psycopath instead. 4:An nanimal was bought for some use, might it be competition, service, hunting, sex, guarding... but the purchased animal will never in life be able to meet those expectations. Harder and harder training methods come to use, directing more and more anger towards that "useless" creature. These were some thoughts I made on the subject. What do you think could be the reason for someone to act like a zoosadist? Can you think of reasons I did not mention? Do you disagree with some of my thoughts for possible reasons?I do not want to talk about details what happens to these animals. That is not what I want to discuss, and rule 5.1.3. does not want us to either. But mainly: What takes a human to get to the point where he gets able to perform like a zoosadist.

I don't understand it, the appeal of sadism escapes me completely. Some people just seem to be wired for it, though, and I suppose the animals make easier victims than people....sometimes...

There are a lot more A zoosexual like us who likes for example fishes or snakes or birds there's no way he or she can satisfy his sexual orientation without harming the pet and yet they continue (well a four meter python can't be easily affected without reaction )Someone buy a pet to a person who don't like him but can't refuse someone who buy a pet but has no place or no time to proper take care of him being selfish or irresponsible could be harmful for a pet even without being properly sadistic

Unfortunately there are humans who are unable to see any other creatures, including fellow humans, as anything more than a subject upon which to inflict pain and suffering.I have never studied the reasons why simply because I cannot understand the need. It is very akin to any contact "sport" where to grind your opponents face in the dirt appears to be the motivating urge.Competition is good for improving but so many go over the top in their endeavours to increase their own alleged position within a society that the infliction of discomfort and sometimes death appears to be acceptable to the individual concerned.I agre with Barb Dyer, (Quote): the appeal of sadism escapes me completely.Pokerman

Those people are sick, just plain sick.To inflict pain to an animal on purpose is just wrong, just found an article from a animal shelter in my region what one of those **stards did.He dognapped the poor thing from the car of her owner, supposedly raped her and probalbly tied her behind his car, the little one had grazes on her body as well as injuries on/in her anus and vagina and on top of that shes only 5 months old.The next day she was found tied to a guardrail.Heres a pic of her:

I'm not sure, all I have to say about the matter is if I ever catch someone in the act of harming any animal like that, I'll do whatever it takes to bring them to justice. If it's one of my own horses or another of my pets, they'll earn themselves a date with the business end of a machete.
