Yes I've met one other person. We had coffee and talked. I think it went ok. Would'nt mind meeting up with others,in my area,for coffeee and get to meet them,altho I understand the reluctance of doing so for many. Well at least we have this site and can talk with each other

I've met one person. We sat and talked for hours, and intended to meet again. However, my work schedule hosed that up, and I've noticed since that they've apparently moved on. Another member and I were sending emails back and forth trying to arrange a day to meet. But again, my work schedule simply didn't mesh, and we've also lost touch. Such is the life of shift work at times.
I've met several people from the site, and in most cases, my meetings went very well. In fact, one of my very best friends is someone I met here.

I have met SEVERAL members of this site.. some went great others .. well as with regular life .. you just dont click with them... this one person.. they came to see me about 2 years ago.. we were both extremely nervous! and the whole week she was here we laughed and laughed and laughed.. I wish all the time we could be closer!!!!
I have met a few, and it went very well. It was members I had been emailing and talking to on IM for a long time. We knew we "clicked" before we met
I've met one member from here twice. Once was for a coffee and chat, the second time was a stroll around the Zoo. Both occasions were supposed to be "major meet and greets" but we were the only ones to show up . I enjoyed both and will keep trying to meet others

haven't hooked up with anyone on this board so far. To be honest I've rarely had the nerve to hook up with any online zoos. The security issue is just soooo big. Too often you read about how some zoo goes completely ape shit for no reason then intentionally tries to out and ruin the lives of any zoophile he knows. I don't need my life ruined because of some one time meeting.
No sadly. Which sucks. sometimes I feel like since I have no friends to share this with that its bad or dirty whatever. Makes me feel bit isolated or lonely ~_~. But I think there are just few people around me with same interests or something O_o.
I've met only two people from this board. . . The first one was a lady. . .we met at a bar with her friends. . . it went alright, but other things were happening. She wasn't interested in me as a partner, but we still talk almost everyday online. . .I actually didn't even meet her from this board now that I think of it. Hehe. We'll meet again one day. . .pretty sure about it. Then the other person I met was from this board. . .and we met for breakfast on memorial day. It was really cool. I look forward to meeting up again! Now the other 12 or so zoo's that I've met in the past 4 years I met through yahoo [SPAM], and then I met their friends that they'd been talking to for a while. The first zoo I met helped me find my adorable husky! We had been chating for about 2 years before we ever met. Then I went on a big road trip and met a lot more! It was fun, but sometimes peoples real lives get in the way. Even though we all share common interests. Over all, I've had some great experiences and some very good laughs, and some great conversations. Now the people I've met from the board, I only talked with them for about a month or more. . .by then I phoned them and web cam with them from time to time. It really helps clear the air that way. . .if you know what I mean. I look forward to meeting with more zoo's in the future. I even hope to meet with one when I goto Canada in a few weeks! In 40 years I have only met one person purely by chance, in a pub, (now theres a strange thing!) who shared some of my views. It was fraught with difficulties because neither of us wanted to say or do anything that could be misunderstood and yet at the same time we were desperately wanting to share an experience.We did arrange to meet again and bring our dogs but he never showed and we have never met again, unfortunately. I DO believe he was genuine but of course there is always that nagging doubt in the back of your mind that possibly he was manipulating the conversation.As to meeting anyone on this forum, I'm not sure if I could find the courage now, I must admit to running a little scared, the last thing I want is my grandchildren being influenced by any scandal.Pokerman

One of the best things about the people on this forum is that they're all in the same boat. Most are more than willing to agree to meet without any expectations of anything more than a cup of coffee and "generic" conversation to start with.

i finally was able to meet another zoo ... actually the first zoo i have met IRL about a month ago ... absolutly wonderful meet ... i NEVER thought i would find someone like this on this sort of board ... we decided to meet after literally talking over YIM for three days .. and never once talked on the phone .. (because of the subject of our professions it was quite easy to tell he was the real deal) ... had a excellent dinner, and talked for hours ... an absolute dreamlike expereince for my first RL zoo meet
I haven't met anyone directly off the forum (yet) but I have met other zoos IRL before (some of whom are now forum members).I found my first meet pretty nervewracking to start, but once I settled down it was fine, and subsequent meets get a lot easier. The strangest thing is that you're so used to "hiding" your feelings for animals that there's a real barrier to saying anything zooish at first - especially as there can be a nagging feeling of "is this zoo for real?". Having said that, all the zoos I've met have been great people, and it's good to know you're not alone out there. My advice is: don't be *too* scared about meets, but then again this doesn't mean you should be blase about it and run about town shouting "I'm a zoo!" at the top of your voice .fh_uk

I have just recently and it went really well I was very nervous but not near as much as I thought I would be, and the couple I met were fab, we were soon chatting away like old friends and could have done for many hours I think.We sat by the river, had a chat and a smoke, while sparky tried to bark his way into the conversation The weather was fantastic and the company even better, so all in all a great sucess

I just looked back a dozen pages and chose a thread to bump!I've met over 100 Zoos in RL all over the USA, and about a dozen here in the UK - in fact six other Zoos from UK, Germany and USA were here last weekend, just for a day & night.We had an interesting social, watched some videos and had a nice long walk in the countryside with four of the dogs.It's nice to be able to "be yourself" with others who share your "big secret" sometimes...
I've had one meeting with a very nice uninhibited couple (swingers) from this site.No animal involved, but I did watch them have sex (too nervous at first for me), which proved to me that they were legit and sincere. Hopefully we can hook up in the future and pick up where we left off... I have been contacted by many men (who I'm not particularly interested in sexually), and surprisingly several single women. We chatted awhile, then when it gets close to a meeting, they seem to back out, and we lose contact. I'm trying to not be pushy or over eager, I leave it up to them. So I will keep trying. Sometimes I wonder if it is the authorities checking me out? or just paranoia...I think some people don't realise how hard it is to get all the work schedules and arraingements out of the way. And hauling a big dog that hates to be in a little car doesn't help..LOL
I made a good friend from BF. We met via the personals and talked for a while online, as I lived across the country and was going to move to where he was. Of course, we were both nervous, as neither had spoken to another zoophile before. We eventually got comfortable with each other. When I finally got to Atlanta, we met up, went to a movie, went hiking about and had a good old time. I now talk to him all the time, and we go about occasionally. Definitely a successful friendship made possible via BF. Though we both tried to find others of like interests, none presented themselves as being all that compatible. Thus far he's the only one I've found to be to my liking, though I'm always interested in meeting others. Of course, going out and revealing oneself to another can be hazardous, hence it takes some courage and motivation.

We in the UK HAVE to be careful! Organisations like the RSPCA are rich, powerful and proactive here.
Update: so far i am up to 5 meets from this board all of whom are absolutley great people. one person i hang out with very often (2 - 3 times a week), and we try to have beer and pizza night every friday with another zoo buddy that we both have met .... its great to meet people who have similar interests, it really drives it home that you are not the only one out there that shares these feelings.
For me, it's the sense that I'm not hiding an important part of myself from the company I am in.Often, I can't help thinking "If this person knew I'M Zoo...they'd probably call me a perv and run a mile".It's sad. Kind of a "conditional friendship".

Have know of quite a few people by their reputation and even some of my friends were involved with animals in my younger days, I even lived next to another female, but she would never admit to being into it with her dog even though it was not safe for any female to bent over or part their legs in front of that dog. Now owing to my advancing age I have moved into this hospice and meet a male person who was a member of this site. We spent many hours talking and had a few outings arranged with his stepdaughter. I dont think she knew what we got up to but she never said anything. But alas he has pasted in the early part of this year and now I am left with only the Internet and my memories of him.
we have met with one member of beast fourum together.it went really well.we were nervious at first but everyone became pretty comfortable after talking for a while.after getting to know each other for a while she started playing with his dog.it went well.we plan on meeting with him again soon. before we were together i met with a female member of beast forum twice.once i helped her move and we sat and talked awhile and once i went out with her and another friend of hers that is a member of beast forum also.both went quite well.

There's a few I'd like to meet too, and it could happen, given the time and some money for travel, in one case a cross-country plane ticket I'm lucky to have a very close RL friend currently who knows about my interests. He's an admitted animal-sex enthusiast himself, but has yet to try anything at all with animals, it's just something he thinks is undeniably sexy.

The UK is a very switched on place...legally so there is an understandably strong fear of meeting and turning an online passion into a real one...plus the confidence that the person you will meet is genuine...but i hope that with that in mind...some may overcome those issues and trust that a cup of coffee is not going to alert everyone around them and that there is no obligation to 'do' anything they dont want to...its easy to walk away from a coffee.I like mine black with one sugar so if anyone wants to just chat....

Well, so far I have made a really great friend through bf chat (we share so many random interests!, including things- music, comedians, movies, etc, that not many people are familiar with- ...). One so far, a week or so ago, for coffee, and he brought his dog.... we got along great, and his dog seems to like me, and very eager.... potentially he may be my first k9 "complete" experience (past licking...). We are talking about setting up a "playdate" within the next couple of weeks... I also have a bf member to thank for referring me to another site, where I met someone, and have had many online chats. We spoke on the phone for the first time tonight, and will be meeting RL when he relocates to my area in about a month. It looks to be a very promising long-term relationship, and he wants me to help train his two boys (one experienced, the other waiting to mature)... I have met a few people and some have gone really really well socially. Some I've met via LJ some via here and some long long long before in the days of UseNet (before it was spammed to hell)... I hope to meet another forumgoer in a few days time while I am up here in Scotland on the farm.It strikes me meeting up just to meet another Zoo can be a bit of a limiting subject but I find for the people I meet that I really get on with we have a shedload of similar interests, geeky, furry, fandom, equine and canine interests and many others. When it goes well time flies. One woman i met was a pretty accomplished Jazz singer and I play Jazz in my spare time! Its not enough to sustain a discussion about oh, shagging or the zoo lifestyle stuff. If people are interesting they are interesting regardless of the subject matter.Anyway, my 5 tips for meeting up is 1. Have no expectations -- social meets are just that2. Meet in a public place where you know where to leave quickly3. Have a quick chat over a phone line before meeting. This is a good early warning and sifts out many timewasters.4. Be yourself but be sure not to give out too much too soon, take it easy and share info exchange, don't swamp!and 5. Be honest from the outset! No one want to meet a 50-year old sweaty overweight guy with poor social skills and bad personal hygene if he's advertised himself as a hot luscious 18-year old nubile gagging for K9 sex.Have fun!

I've been chatting with someone here on BF recently that I wouldn't mind meeting.
Well I just spent a couple hours today with SleepinDragon . We met and had some lunch and then spent some time looking for a quiet,isolated spot to sit and talk. Overall I think it went well and hopefully we can meet up again soon. It would be nice if others in the area would look to do the same.

Yes - I've met one other person from the board, and I consider him a friend now. I love his 2 dogs as if they were my own. Hopefully, I'll be able to meet others from here soon.
Off on a tangent here. But, hypothetically, if I were to create a "MySpace" page, is there any kind of 'code' I could use to get the idea across that I am looking for a zoo interested partner? I've never ever constructed anything like a MySpace page befor and was wondering if there was some kind of community specific lingo for that?
I have met a few people off other sites but none from here. I have exchanged emails with a few from here, but we haven't met up. seems like there are lots of guys in MD looking for dogs for themselves or to watch and not that many dog owners. Ahh, the problems of supply and demand.
No, I have not met anyone from this place, but I have met a few zoos that I got to know from furry sites/chats.

It makes a huge difference sometimes, and builds your confidence. You'll find the right person for you when the time comes and with any luck you'll be very happy.
Uhhh ahhh ahh, lets not be pie in the sky now. Seero, my friend definitely don't give up looking. You can't win the game if you don't play. But I think being realistic is also helpful. My parents pretty much barred me from having any kinds of relationships or dating as I was growing up. To compensate for the lack of experience on forming interpersonal relationships my mother would endlessly say, "Don't worry you'll find someone someday when the time is right". That was sooo much crap, as if to imply finding a compatible mate was something that just magically and automatically happens at some point. It doesn't, you have to make it happen or at least try to, so keep plugging away my friend.

To date, no, at the moment I feel there is too much to risk, too little to gain. If I got to know some one well and there was more than a passing intrest I might be persuaded to go a bit further, talk on line, view on line, who knows where it might end?
I joined this site in order to learn, laugh, get a little horny and maybe meet some cool open minded people and their signifigant others. I have some experience with the whole cyber meeting scene. Yeah you have to be careful but I grew up in new york city and have no fear of strangers. Living in a big town makes you a pretty good judge of character. Yep, two people actually, and I have also referred several people that I know to join. Nothing really came out of the meetings, though I now have an opportunity with a large male mastiff....I haven't convinced myself that I want to or am entirely ready for that yet, though.

I met my girl, Melbus, here on the forum. It all started well over 2 years ago with a perfectly innocent PM, and now we're planning on me moving to her country so we can live together in about a year. :3 And yes, we will be getting dogs!
I have probably met close to, if not more than 200 fellow zoos. Many have been, or still are, members here at BF. Out of those, I have only had a couple that I would have been happier not to have met. Unfotunately I lived with one of those for over a year. All in all, I don't regret any of it. If I hadn't lived with that one puke, I wouldn't have my current soul-mate. Pretty much all of my close friends are zoos I have met through various online [SPAM].To all of you who haven't met others, but are considering it, trust your instincts and go for it with any person that "feels" right. It will be scary the first time, but don't worry. There is a good chance they are going to be just as scared as you.
