What do you think wild or tame? Well... I know they can be tamed (ex: animal shows circus). They seem harmless enough for a simple house pet. How are they so different than other canine that people consider them dangerous wild animals or a pest problem? If Miss Foxy can sit through a semester of obedience school, or know some of the basic doggy commands, I'd say you'd got a certified pet, friend or companion. Of couse I know nothing about vulpines. So what do you think?

Thanks, Unknown.... that was an interesting site, indeed. Now, I'm real interested in seeing one up close. It would be nice to see this on the Nature television channel.

That particular line of foxes is domesticated. Others are wild animals. Foxes, by nature, are NOT social animals (except for Arctic foxes) and simply don't take well to living with people. I've been following the breeding program in question somewhat. It will be interesting to see what comes out of it, if anythig.

That is incredibly iteresting, not merely for the domesticated foxes, but for the fact that being "socialized" is right in line to being what our society considers "intelligent" Its like those children who were abandoned in the wild and managed to survive, however with no social development scientists found that when reimmersed into society, while at birth there were no defects, they are now considered retarded and cannot (or willnot) advance beyond a certain step in development...
