As a breeder I have quite a few dogs, German Shepherds specifically. At the moment I have two bitches in season and no space for litters. The result? Two very frustrated stud dogs and two very frustrated bitches. This isn't my first rodeo; I regularly collect my studs for frozen- or chilled-shipped semen. And lets all be honest, we know why I'm here... I regularly 'collect' my studs just because I love it so much myself, lol! I also work for a repro specialist vet and we had a bit of an awkward situation this weekend.I've never done a collection on a client's dog before as I've only worked at my current practice for a year or so. Apart from my normal duties as a tech I usually end up handling sample diagnostics, smears, progesterone tests etc and all pre-natal and whelp care for clients... since they didn't know me yet the practice owner hadn't had me handle the critical steps. Well, this weekend we had a big bouvier client come in for a multiple-bitch AI with an import that was only in town for a few weeks. He couldn't do a natural breeding (picky mounter) so we took over. My job? Holding the sleeve."Yay!" I think to myself, since I have never once had trouble getting a stud to knot, whether breeding or just for fun. We're all in position with the line of teasers and my vet gets to 'manually manipulating' the stud. Oh... guess I just get to hold it then. I resigned myself to my mundane task.Let me tell you... this woman cannot jack off a dog for anything. Makes me wonder how she's collected them before! All wrong. She was treating them like a high school boy; rough and fast strokes. I sat there awkwardly watching the poor dog arch up to get away from her hand. I held my tongue for a good ten minutes while they discussed how odd it was, how he was usually ready to go. My vet started second guessing the smears and progesterone tests, wondering if the girls were really eggs-down. They were talking and distracted so I went ahead and got him going. Three seconds and he was out and filling my collection sleeve. They were happy, of course. My vet never said anything except 'good job!' and of course no one would never suspect me of having... er, well... alternative interests. But the owners of the bitches did say that they would request me next time. If only they knew!

It's societies thing about how genitalia is gross and is only discussed in the 'bedroom' or in a classroom setting so the vet handling the stud's penis must've been awkward for her as well. I don't think she thought other things about you,she might've just figured you had more experience with semen collection. lol

I don't really think its that awkward. As another animal health care worker who's been into it for a long time, you see a lot of your superiors, often younger and less experienced, flub what to you and me are basic skills. I don't think the fact you were successful so quickly will make you suspect of anything in particular. The biggest thing I would worry about is this particular vet becoming snide with you because you showed him/her up in front of a client. If it becomes an issue I would remind him/her that you have extensive experience, not because you are a zoosexual, but rather you do this as part of your paid business.

This is much ado about *really* nothing. IF anything is ever said, just smile and tell her bluntly that as a male, you know what a male wants. End of subject.

Best story in a while xDI had to teach some stupid teenage girls (no, all teenage girls are not stupid, these were just special fucked-up stupid) how to breed rabbits. They didn't even know what rabbits eat! Glad I don't have to see their dumb faces again hah. You can't breed a rabbit if it's already pregnant! or STRESS a poor, pregnant doe >:(

I get frustrated watching videos where they haven't a clue. I feel sorry for the dog getting his member abused. I can only imagine what it would be like in person. Nice story. Thanks for sharing and a job well done.

Sounds like that job would be a blast but having to hold back all those feelings in public would be a burden, to say the least!

Ooooh, don't worry! I wasn't worried about being 'outed' or anything. I just thought it was an excellent story to share here, haha!I do love my job. It's weird, though... I haven't found myself attracted to client dogs as often as I would have thought. I am bonded to my own dogs, so it's kind of more business than pleasure. Although it is rewarding in instances like this where I have the 'upper hand' over the boss lady. My favorite part is actually pregnancy xrays. Our clinic won't AI aggressive bitches, so we usually x-ray without muzzles or anything and the girls are so sweet. Getting to love on them is a joy. Totally non-sexual, just very intimate and rewarding. Especially when you get to see the litter back in for their first worming or docks or the like. The worst are the complicated whelps. We had an entire litter of 14 GSDs with cleft palates and complicated delivery (bitch was accidentally bred at 9 years old). We had to euthanize the 7 that lived through the first night. Horrible.

I believe it is a duty for all bitches to be knowledgeable regarding canine masturbation.
