The bonding aspect works better though, the social politics are much simpler (can't get any simpler then keep you mouth shut, and there is no question as to why, why not, and no quid pro quo for sex), there is literally no awkward baggage, the signals are far, FAR easier to read with any pet then with any person (absolutely no hidden codes or motives to decipher), and fairly often the parts fit better.Besides that, the muscular body, friendly welcoming and often playful (or at least comforting) attitude, and pleasant smell of dogs and horses really makes them a lot more attractive then people anyway.That's my opinion anyway.
