I find myself once again being guilt tripped into going to visit my mother in kentucky for 5 weeks as i am every other summer or so. They have no cable and barly any cell reception out there. But its not all bad, it will give me time to work on my drawings, post on some forums, and get into the habit of living outside of the games. Plus, they have a Great Dane male, of ripe sexual age, and his name is Moses. (the last great dane pup they had was named Bo, and he died because of the vet giving him a messed up dose of Enseds. RIP Bo-puppy) I had tryed things with Bo before, and he was the sweetest great dane there ever was, but that might have been the problem. He didnt have any assertive or testosteron in him that made him want to mount and hump anything, but Mo is alot more alpha-male from what my mother tells me, and i hope that can be used to my advantage. Thier going to get Mo fixed before i come back for a 2nd visit after this 5 weeks, so its now or never. Ill keep you guys up to date with posts about what i do with him, and detailed descriptions of how he acts in responce, okay? I mean, c'mon. I wont have anything better to do out in Kentucky. Ill post again once i get there on the 8th, and i must say. I have been loooking forward to this.

im gonna head to the "how to' threads and read up on a few things, but does anyone have any advise for a first time mountee? Im gonna read up, but im just wondering if theres anything that could be said in here, that might be missed in a thread. Like a golden rule or somthing?Any tips, tricks, advise ect will be greatly appreciated.
Take it easy, be careful (of your safety and to make sure you don't get caught as you'll be at your rents house) and make sure if you decide to tie you'll be able to do it safely as otherwise you could end up very hurt (or at least very sore)
No tips--just spend an hour or so a day studying and reading different threads and the pinned topics in the forum. You can learn a whole lot just doing that. Don't for get to use the search function if you have specific questions. You'll be suprised how many of your questions will be answered. Above all have fun, don't get caught and let us know how you make out.

You should show them the pros-and cons of neutering dogs, in the case of male dogs is worse to neuter them than leave them intact. Try if you can convince them to get him a vasectomy. after you show them all the side effects and from cutting genitals.Theres lots of sites showing the bad sides of neutering males, you should look that up and save Moses balls.

Depends on your reasons for neutering really.If he's quite dominant and Kath's mum is the main person looking after him then to be honest she has the call. If it means that he's easier for them to handle (which he would be) then why not get him neutered. If the op is going to be done for behavioural reasons then a vasectomy won't help at all, is just as dangerous as a neuter (general anaesthetic etc) and I imagine will probably cost the same anyway. Considering that Kath said his mums other Dane wasn't neutered then it would indicate to me that she's made this decision on consideration of how Mo acts.As others have said looking forward to hearing how things go
From what I've read on a GSD site, there is no reduction in male aggression if the dog is neutered after the age of 6 months. Neutering before 6 months age can reduce aggression as they age. Most vets will not do vasectomies for what it's worth!

i should clarify, thier not having him neutered so much as agression or dominance, just because thiers no readily avalable source of release for a pent-up puppy. They tried to get Bo a dog-ceptamy but he died cause the vet was an idiot. But im seriously trying to think of ways i can convince them not to have him DCed or neutered, since i would be more likly to visit if there was a happy, healthy mating dane watiing for me.I jerked thier last dog off ONCE, and after that he would always follow me back to my room like 'Again? again? can we go again?' UPDATE----The first day i got here i decided to make it a free day, i didnt touch the huge sheath. just a love-pet day.the second day i decided to see if he had an open mind or any problems being touched. He didnt. I started to rub his sheath the second nobody was around that morning, and got his knot pretty hard in his sheath. He followed me around the rest of the day.the third day (today) he had a huge boner in his sheath, nice and fat, and he started to put his paw up and paw at me with it. so i take the paw and hold it as Mo jumps up and begins to put his paws up on me. this gives me an idea and i turn around and hold his paws, letting him get ontop of me over my back. he stood there, not humping at all and just licked the back of my neck and ears. when i got out from under him, he was throbbing nicly.Ill see what i can do tomorow. wish me luck!

I didnt play wih Mo much today, too much going on around the house, so he spent most of the day in my moms room. When we did meet up and i touched the sheath, he had a nice little growing knot for me to feel, as if to say "Look what i have!" I like mo, and I think by the end of this 5 week visit ill have tied the knot, so to speak. So Ill keep you updated, things are gonna be more private tomorow, so ill give him all the rubs he wants tomorow.I have an idea of how to get him to actually hump, but thats still a ways off.See ya tomorow

Just be very careful and before you think of tieing know 100% that you can take him without injury to yourself, and be quite confident if he starts to pull while your tied you can hold him so he doesn't pull it out of you. Once he has tied you its to late to dod anything about it and how will you explain either why you can't sit down at all or why you needed to take a trip to the hospital.

Sorry for not having posted for a while, but somthing was bugging with my account yeasterday and it woulndt let me post... oh wellThere hasnt really been any major progress these past few days. I have been drawing tho, which is good since i never have time in my home town. Dogs definately do missionary, in fact some people prefer it because they have better control of the dog including kissing, petting, rubbing, etc. Also you can hold on to the dog to prevent him from pulling out early. I've not tried it myself, but I know there are some threads discussing this. Try your search function and look for missionary! Keep us informed on your progress.

im sorry for the sudden drop off, between thier crappy internet exploding constantly, and several other things i couldnt post. No doggie sex for me yet, Poor Mo ate somthing in the yard and was sick for a good 4 days, so i didnt play 'rub the sheath' to let him recover. Im still workin g with him, but nothing yet.
