Well, its that season everybody! Time for family gatherings, good food, tinsel, and long nights relaxing in front of the fire. Or, if you're like me, an awesome plastic tree and some time off of work. So what are you doing for your animal counterparts this festive season? How do you include them in your festivities (or lack thereof)? Any presents planned? Special outings? Family gatherings? Let us know!My boys have been getting ALL the southern christmas benefits. We've hit the beach at least once a week for some great vistas and run-arounds, enjoy sleeping in every morning all curled up together on my bed, and have been visiting all the consumer hot-spots to stimulate the economy. Cody is getting a big box full of new squeaky toys, a new collar, new tags, and a spa day at the groomer. Red is getting a new huge snuggle bed, some great coat shine spray, some water retrieval toys, a Kong, a new collar, new tags, and a spa day himself. And my gift to you guys: Cody is on the left in the picture, Red is on the right. They look tiny in this pic, haha! Red can sure curl up for a 70+lb big boy, lemmie tell you. Some come on! Share the holiday cheer! Let us know what your special furry friends are getting this festive time.

All I need is the courage of buying and wearing a fursuit outdoors (I'm furry ^^), since my lover likes the snow and trekking (just like me), we'd be trekking lots!I'd just have to buy a coat - we both like trekking afar.Apart from that, lots and lots of food and comfort stuff! (He doesn't like dog toys)Yes, we'll need to relax after the trekking we'll be doing.Might be offline for a bit longer, then .
The pups back home will be getting there typical dog treat stockings.
Nothing elaborate here. They will each probably get a bite of Christmas ham. That will be special for them as they rarely get food treats of any kind.LTD
My girl is getting some a year supply of filled chew bones and another three pack of mini tennis balls (not like she does not already have a house full of them!) as well as having me home for 4 and a half days with lots of time sit sit and cuddle. The cat (if I don't kill him for stealing my food!) will get a bunch of treats and a 6mo. renewal on his housing contract!

They aren't just for xmas.Give them the whole turkey .
Hmmm lets see. Not to many toys since he has a lot already and some he just doesnt really like. But getting a chew bone, a rope toy, and some tennis balls for the park and beach..Probably going to be nice and give him some food to since he is spoiled like that, a lot of times he gets more than me, that lucky dogAnd since I will be home off of work that means more of me toy who can argue with that! *edit for spelling*
My lab was born on Christmas day Extra treats for the birthday boy!
A round bale of hay with a red ribbon attached.
My round ass with a big red bow on it
well, let's see....I've bought him some extra yummy nutritious soft food, extra money for not being in a can (he normally gets crunchy foods).A bunch of "spoiled rotten" chewies that are natural made. Well, that's what the packaging says, but since it's vitamin fortified I don't know how adding ferrous carbonate or manganese oxide makes it natural... ???I new fluffy toy, which I'm trying desperately to hold onto before the big day. His old toy is all about "dead" now. No stuffing left and the elastic is about to break up. So, I'm keeping an extra eye closely on it to make sure he doesn't make it a hazard.Well, I hope it's a surprise for him. I've left him at home when I went out to buy him his presents. I just hope he didn't figure out I was up to something because of that. I've also secretly hid his presents on the top shelf on the hallway closet. So, no one had better tell him where I put them... So, to you and your mates. A merry new year and happy holidays to you all.May peace and love surround you always friends.
He'll come with me to my sister's place for Christmas Day and be spoiled rotten by everyone. Fortunately all the children are now old enough to know not to feed him chocolate. But he's quite partial to ham and mince pies.Christmas Eve we'll sit and watch something awful on telly - I'll be bleeding so that aspect is off the menu. No Christmas nookie for him! Christmas Night we'll go from my sister's house to Chrissy's (g/f) and lie in the pool, drink champagne and generally forget him.I have got him 1 present. A dried pig's ear to chew.

Nope but the days that follow is a great time for me to resupply treats/toys thanks to dirt cheap X-mas leftovers
The dogs at home are enjoying a super bumper treat. My mum had frozen a ham that had been lost in the freezer and it had to be cooked so as theres so much ham in the house for us to eat they've been getting chunks in their dinner so we can try and get it all finished.Lets just say they are rather enjoying it.

Mentioned before that Christmas is also by dog's birthday. Just a little update on the day, he got to do something extra special this morning. I work at a farm most mornings, feeding the animals and such. It's been a great chance for me to learn about how to care for them in the hopes of having land and animals someday. I always come home with such interesting smells for my dog. Well today, he got to go with me! I don't think I've ever seen him so happy. He got to meet lots of animals. Watching him interact with the horses was the best part. I was wary at first and kept some distance between them, until it was clear they were just as fascinated by him as he was of them. Tail and nose going a mile a minute seeing him nose-to-nose with a horse was priceless. I wish I had brought my camera.
