my dog starts to smell like a rotting animal??? Whats urs smell like?
Well it is possible that that smell is normal for her. It is also possible she may have something else going on like a vaginal infection. I suggest taking her to the vet for an examination.
.....Or she found something lovely, sweet smelling, and 3 weeks dead to have a good roll in.......

She shouldn't smell rotten. I'd take her to the vet if I were you. LTD
smell comes from bacteria usually, (sweat in humans is basically odorless until bacteria start eating it, then it stinks, the same goes for blood, breath, vaginal secretions, etcetera).check your girl with a vet, an extra alarm would be that her fluid isn't clear, but milky and colored, that means a big infection.hope this helps
Oh, dear-- Dr Kan reminded me of something--Pyometra looks a lot like heat-- Swelling, redness, tenderness, discharge-- and oh yes, a smell. If it is, this demands prompt vet care; delays can cause death. Get thee to a vet, man!

Well for now, for aguments sake, I will assume that you know for a fact that she is currently in her normal heat. If that's the case then, as before, I suggest hitting up a vet. Its impossible to tell what your smelling over the internet. It might be normal, and something you just don't like, or it might be a bacterial infection of some sort. Pyometra on the other hand, does not occur while they are in heat, they usually become symptomatic 2-6 weeks after their heat cycle ends. It may or may not be demonstrated by purulent vaginal discharge. There are other things but for now, I'd hit up the vet.
just a thought but did her anal glands open up while you were rubbing back there .on my girl if they open up the smell almost takes your breath away just a thought but id take her to the vet to make shure
My girl smells fuc**** amazing when shes in heat...you may have to take her to the vets

First rule of thumb "if in doubt, take her to the vet" ASAP.
When do I get to go in heat
