Is she intact or spayed? Add to that the size of your friend, etc. and you'll see that the more information you have - or he has - the better.

Well, all dogs are individuals, and so Your Results May Vary, (is she full normal size for the breed?) but a standard sized person would stand a good chance. Wait 'till she's just beginning in heat, and go slow. (Maybe days or months--just see how it goes)
