Does anyone know where to get some female dog scent to attact male dogs without going to a vet?
that would be nice....
1. i once before was looking for the same thing with no luck and trust me i looked everywhere2. i think u got this in the wrong section
Actually, I ordered some thing of that nature a couple years back from synbiotics.com but when I had a girl I know try it, it didn't seem the interest to dog. The instructions on it were apply it to the vulva of a bitch. I tried sniffing it and didn't notice any scent at all, though I'm not a dog. The product was called Eau D'Estrus: Artificial Estrus Scent and sold for $8.80 for a bottle the size of a bottle of eye drops. Looking on their page now I'm not seeing it listed right off hand but I remember having a hard time finding it when I ordered it. You don't have to be a vet or even talk to any one to get it, you just order it off their web page. You can still see the page for it on www.archive.org/index.php if you put www.synbiotics.com/html/shop.php3?productID=109 into the search area. That site helps to find pages that don't exist any more.If any one does buy it and finds that it does work, let me know. Like I said, we tried it on a girl with a male dog and he still didn't show any sort of interest.
Been there--Done that--Here it is--(Thanks southy)http://www.beastforum.com/index.php?showto...56816&hl=estrus
Every now and then someone asks that question, but I have yet to hear of any positive results. I can not decide weather it is an urban myth or fact. Maybe there is something out there that really works, but until I see the cookies in the jar I have my doubts.
It doesn't work. Aside from anything else, consider the ethics of using drugs or potions to attract a dog. Even if it did work, which it doesn't, you may get more than you bargain for. Why not take the time, trouble and expense of owning and getting to know your own dog?LTD
I agree with Dane. From my experience, dogs have buttons just like many people do. Male dogs loooove shoving games. If you're on all fours, and playfully nudge your dog around, it beats the pants off anything else when he suddenly is REAALLY in the mood to mount you (I've tried the pheromone thing, which utterly failed). Just don't hurt the dog in the process of whatever you do.
