hm... i used to play second life, but all my locations were given by friends and I dont exactly remember the names of the places I went...I havent played in about a year as well, so I cant honestly say where I always hung out

I suggest you hit up WikiFur, the wikipedia, and do a search for second life. It comes up with a lot of info about the furfen culture on Second Life. Hope that helps.
