Hi fellow zoo's, I just got back from seeing the movie Bolt at the theater. So has anyone else seen it? It was really well done in my opinion, and I can't usually say that about movies rated PG ( ). A quick search of the forums didn't find any results for previous topics about this movie, so I thought I'd put one up myself. Anyways, post your likes / dislikes below!P.S. I'm totally painting a black lightning bolt on my boy when I get one

I'm not much into the little kids movies but I will probably end up watching it when there is nothing else to rent or on tv. It doesn't look to bad though.

I saw it yesterday and it was ok.. not great. For one, Miley Cyrus really irritates me (especially her voice) and so I had to suffer through that and one of the songs they played of Hannah Montana's... The hamster was the highlight of the movie, for sure. Bolt was cute, and Mittens was an amusing cat.

Well, I have to say I rather liked the movie. It definitely had it's funny and sad moments. Overall, I think it was well done. And yes, the hamster was hillarious. It's definitely a movie I would suggest watching.

Okay I finally saw it yesterday in 3D. I thought it was really good. I was very impressed by how good the 3D actually was. In years past most color 3D was just annoying at best. But they really worked hard to make a good system that worked well. Even the fact that John Travolta was in the movie didn't spoil it for me. My suggestion is go see it. Who knows, watching it might even cure impotence or even more important make your penis bigger.

Now that I've had a chance to think about it some more. James Lipton, the guy from The Actors Studio, was in the film. That being said, does this now mean that James Lipton can still host The Actors Studio? Or will he even have other actors on it anymore? Because now, and given his ego, it wouldn't surprise me if he was the only one on the show in simply interviewed himself ad nauseum; since he now can call himself a serious actor.

I intend on seeing it sometime... although it'll likely not be until it comes out on DVD. But it does look like a great movie! Probably, if you ask me, one of the few Disney movies that I may actually see as an adult that's not Pirates of the Caribbean! However, I do think that John Travolta was an odd choice for Bolt's voice actor... but hey, I could be wrong. From seeing Grease, if nothing else, I can tell that he can have that hopeful, over-confident tone in his voice that seems to have been symbolic his character in Grease, and (from what I learned from the trailers for Bolt) of Bolt. But, enough speculation from me. I'll put in another post when I've seen it.

I'm one of those crazies who saw it in regular theaters (and now i'm kicking myself i didn't see it in 3D.. d'oh!)i thought the film was better than I expected out of the Disney story crew, with animation to match. simple, basic, yet effective. *puts on professional animator hat* as for the movie itself, i personally thought it was worth my money. I wouldn't rush to see it again by any means, but it was a good little film. Stealth, the group i went with (as well as myself) also had some dubious opinions about voice actors going into the theater, but to be perfectly honest John Travolta did a smashing job! I was impressed with his efforts. 'penny', though... whiny, annoying, typical tween. That was easily the worst part of the voice acting. but overall the horrible music was the worst part. there was so much hannah montanna or however you spell her name product placement that it was sickening.but if you have a dog, this is a great laugh. theres a montage of the cat (mittens) teaching Bolt how to just 'be a dog'. that's definitely chuckle-worthy.

I've seen it twice, both in 3D. Have to say it's probably my favorite movie. Really, really enjoyed it. Funny enough, haven't really had any yiffy thoughts about him. The film was so moving that I stay inspired to this day. Saw it opening Saturday, and the following Saturday. I may spring for a Blu-Ray player when it comes out on Blu-Ray.To me, it was way more touching than funny. I think I maybe laughed a couple of times, and teared up quite a few more than that. Can't think of one bad thing to say about it. I was enthralled the whole time.

Two little complaints:Why is Bolt's head so huge? And why does Mittens the cat have human-style eyes instead of cat eyes?Otherwise it was pretty good, certainly better than Wall-E. The 3-D technology worked very well, but I'm not sure it added to the experience enough to be worth the $2.00 premium. One scene that stuck with me was after the end of the first big action sequence. Bolt and Penny went back to his trailer, but the poor dog was so completely wired, on a sleep-deprived paranoid hair-trigger edge, he couldn't relax at all. It was really effective to show that even for a dog with unquestioning confidence in his super powers, to be forced to battle a James Bond-style super villain every day to protect his girl is just too much to ask, and the stress was taking its toll on him. Does your dog feel stress every day?

Well I would have been more concerned that he was living a Truman Show like existence. But his sense of smell must have been gone since he couldn't smell the same scents of the sets and kraft services everyday.
