I came across a news story last night that made me very sad-it was about a woman whose 20yo son had found a collection of 150 videos she had of her and her 2 dogs making love. The son turned the tapes over to the police and the woman and a male friend of hers who also had a dog and was the one who filmed the videos, were both arrested for acts against nature or whatever the charge was. And that was bad enough-having her son find the videos and turn them into the police and have her private life made public in such a humiliating way-not that she did anything wrong and should be ashamed or humiliated-but just being outed like that in your home community was bad enough-I’m sure her relationship with her son was severed and she was probably ostracized from most of her friends and family and community and had to relocate, and if she worked probably lost or had to quit her job. And all that is bad enough but a job’s just a job and she could get another and no big deal about moving either-and if family or friends have a problem with it oh well-new better friends can be made-and while all that’s very important it is not the most important thing. Yes I felt bad for the woman but worse things could have happened to her. What made me sad was reading that she agreed to give up the dogs-probably as part of a plea agreement-and that to “help those poor abused dogs” the police or whoever took the dogs and, after cutting their testicles off, gave them to a no-kill shelter for abused animals. Now let me see-maybe I missed something here-these 2 dogs were ripped away from a safe, warm, comfortable and loving home-where they probably grew up and where they have been loved and cherished and cared for everyday of there lives-to say nothing of having a very active, pleasurable and satisfying sex life with someone they deeply loved and who loved them deeply and, after having their testicles cut off, were placed in an unknown environment with unknown people and who knows how many other strange and hostile dogs and animals, to live the rest of their lives unloved and un-cherished and away from the only home and loved one and family they have ever know. Yes it sure was abuse alright-what they did to those poor dogs is the worst part of what happened-not even so much neutering them-because sometimes that may have to or need to be done for health or some other reason. But being neutered and/or unable to have sex doesn’t change the love or friendship or intimacy they shared with the woman. The dogs lost the one person in their whole world they truly loved and who truly loved them. Dogs-and all pets-but I think especially dogs-and people become very attached and they are truly loved ones and members of the family under the usual circumstances-and I’m sure that bond is much greater and stronger for both dog and human where intimacy is involved. So here not only is the woman’s life “ruined” but she also had to agree to give up her 2 best friends and lovers who have shared and been an intimate part of her life for years and years-and to see and know what happened to them. That’s what made me sad-the thought not only of these poor dogs would be forever waiting for her to come, but how sad and bad she felt about losing them. I guess maybe it struck me so hard was because before I found this interest recently I wouldn’t have thought twice about it other than to think of how embarrassing it was for her-but now that my eyes have been opened and I know better then I did before-I saw that the real story was the tremendous emotional pain and loss suffered by both the woman and the dogs at being separated forever. That’s what made me sad.

Ouch... I dunno what's worse, the fact that she lost everything, including her lovers, or the fact that her own son did this to her.I could never do that to my family, turning them in just for -responsibly- loving something.

yes-that's what I was thinking too-bad enough he found them-I'm sure that freaked him out and changed his view of his mother-but he should have just put them back and minded his own business or talk to her about it if he felt he had to-but what kind of person would do something like that to their own mother-or anyone for that matter-

And people wonder why those of "alternate" sexualities tend stay in the closet. This is despicable. This is also the reason why I encrypt my porn to the extent that even the CIA wouldn't touch it...

again and again and again the wiser members of this forum talk about consequences to animals due to careless or unthoughtful human behavior - I am not blaming this woman - we dont know the circumstances of how these videos were apprehended by the son - wether he shared a residence with the parents and just accidentally stumbled onto them - wether he was snooping - ect - and we will never know - this is an OLD story - it was in the news several months ago - if not 6 months ago - but people you must THINK when the stakes are so high...THINK _ THINK _ THINK!!!I am going to let this thread stand for now - the first one was removed because it became a sesspool of law/political discussions ect - stay focused

Gone a the days when one could have some privacy and do things in the privacy of your own house. As southy said "we have to stay focused" but personally I guess there was a problem between the son and his mother ) there is nothing like being stabbed in the back by someone you suckled. It would be safe to say that there will not be any family reunion this side of eternity.

Thanks!

Oh wow that is horrible I wonder if she had a bad relationship with her son or had upset him in some way that made him want to do this. The dogs will have lost their home and the woman will have lost her family. I bet the son in a few years will realize what he did and be sad as well. It can't be easy on him either, explaining why he doesn't talk to his mother.

Now, I can't really say for sure, but for him to go to the lengths he did to out his own mother, I think there are some very deep-rooted issues between them. He may be regretful for incarcerating his mother for other reasons (finances, guidance, etc.) but unless he radically changes his perspective - something not many do with regards to sexuality - I don't think there's much of a chance of him ever feeling remorseful for spotlighting this aspect of his mother's life. He probably feels that he did the right thing despite the long-term consequences; that or he is just myopic and vengeful...It sucks either way though.
