Does anyone else like spiders sexually/emotionally, especially tarantulas. I have not met any others so far who feel this way.
I've never heard of that
we don't do that here. sorry. I really doubt you will find much interest in that on this forum. Seems we are all about them mammals. The thing is, most of what you will see here is mutual. I just don't see how that is accomplished with a spider. In fact, I don't get the sexual aspect of it at all. However, I really like spiders...in a "normal" sorta way. They are fascinating creatures. I am thinking about getting a pet tarantula. Also, I'm not sure about if this is against the rules here or not. I checked over them, and the only thing I found is that animals can not be harmed. So if your love of spiders doesn't hurt them, I guess its ok.
I HATE! Spiders... creepy little creatures. I kill them the best way I can without getting within 10ft of them. Wether it be throwing something to smash it, or some other creative way.

Tarantulas are nice but I just can't see how you could be sexually attracted to one... an intercourse would be impossible.

At least you accept you cannot act upon your desires, no matter how much you love her. I adore inverts, I get a lot of pleasure from observing them and believe them to be absoloutely beautiful, but not in a sexual sense. I think those with a love for invertebrates in the same way as you are in the minority, even here.
either you need very small genitalia or very big spider
i see nothing wrong with loving your pet spider in the way, as long as it stays as a purely emotional form.Spiders are pretty cool, and i appreciate them capturing all the other annoying bugs out there, wouldn't want them crawling on me though
Spiders scare the crap outta me, I am afraid... as do most creepy crawlies! However, I do get the idea of having something you like crawling all over you being arousing.... I love snakes...and while I couldn't do anything with them sexually, coz they are not designed for it... having them slither all over my body would be mind blowing!!!

I have actually come across some video clips with men putting different types of insects and creepy crawly like things in some unusual places (like under their foreskin) ...... not on this site I hasten to add. I can't remember whether spiders specifically were in them but I do seem to recall a few odd ones like worms ... bees .... tadpoles Whatever lights your candle I suppose
If you ever want to see a grown man run away squeeling like a little girl...put a spider near me, lol. I'm terrified of them.Call me wrong, but...anything with that many eyes and legs can't be trusted!
Wow...I have officially heard it all
Oh, internet. What wacky thing will you show me next? Just kidding, though. You know what they say: different strokes for different folks.

I used to be deathly afraid of spiders as well as snakes, I guess living where I do you just get over it quickly or move away lol! I had a room-mate years ago who bought a Burmese Python and I learned to love having it draped across my shoulders stroking his head while watching movies and such it was odd at first, a strange thing to get used to, but he felt great to touch and hold, and he loved the body heat.... I've had the opportunity also to get acquainted with big spiders (tarantula I think) a few times many years ago and its similar in that it was nice to do and get over the fear based reaction but I can't imagine feeling love, sensual or sexual for them at all... But that's probably attributable to my love of cumm lol!

Heck I think this is kinda neat! I don't like spiders, myself, but not a lot of people do. And people who -do- like spiders, an even smaller group love them like you do.That's pretty cool in itself, I think. That's a whole new -world- of bestiality. (I'm afraid to call it 'zoophilia' because I think that's focused around animals and not insects)Edit: Actually, I think I looked up the word in a paper dictionary and it said something along the lines of "an affinity to animals, esp. insects".'Course paper dictionaries become more outdated every day, with new words and connotations coming out all the time.
Zoophilia is defined as a sexual attraction to animals. Bestiality is sexual activity between a person and an animal. (source: dictionary)Therefore, this would be a special type of zoophilia, not bestiality because he is not trying to have sex with them. In fact, there is something called formicophilia, which is sexual pleasure from insects. (Wikipedia says "the specific practice of gaining sexual pleasure from ants and ant bites", but other sites say insects in general) Wow, that's getting really, really specific...and bizarre. I was trying to find a more specific word for spiders (because of course, they are not insects), but couldn't find anything. But there are words for everything else! I have to admit, I am really fascinated by this, even if I have 0 interest.

Although if it is specific to tarantulas I suppose a more technical term would be something along the lines of Theraphophilia. I can fully understand the attraction, I think for some it is such a huge leap as this is not just a love for another mammal, but an invertebrate.
Nope, Spiders and such are not my thingy at all. I think I'll stay with mammals^^ But each to his own. I guess those animals can also be very interesting if you have a soft spot for them.

QUOTE (missywolf @ Jul 1 2008, 01:25 AM) QUOTE Arachnophilia perhaps? yeah, arachnophilia, of course. Now why didn't I think of that ? *slaps self*
Err.....im gonna have to pass on this one
no....plus too tiny...and yeah mammels are most commen tho i see some things on sharks and snakes wich are rather hot
No way...this is way over the top for me. I scream and run when I see one.
Seems like most people do run or scream. I don't know why I should be afraid of something so tiny. I think they should be afraid of me because I could squash them so easily! (not that I would, I actually like spiders) which leads me to wonder how good are they as pets? I'd love to own a tarantula, but how easy are they to keep alive? And how long do they live anyways?
I don't mind spiders their own personal selves---think wild tarantulas are kind of cool, really--- but totally HATE spiderwebs strung across where I walk. Can't get the goo off my glasses and have to put up with it until the work's done, 3 cats and a shetland pony get stuck in the gummy stuff in my hair......
*shiver*I hate spiders, arachnophobic
