Just wondering if any of you do/would like/wish to sing to your animal lover, and if yes, then is there a particular song or a set of songs you like to sing to him/her? If I did have a canine lover (I don't yet), then I'd definitely sing the following songs to her:Three Little Birds - by Bob Marley (After I saw "I Am Legend", and saw Will Smith sing it to Sam, I was like "how could I have not thought of that one before?")Secret Crowds - by Angels & Airwaves (some of the lyrics: "If I had my own world, I'd build you an empire, from here to the far lands... Let me feel you, carry you higher! Watch your words spread, hope like fire! Secret crowds rise up and, gather! Hear your voices, sing back louder!")Love Like Rockets - by Angels & AirwavesLight My Candle - from RENT

I don't have a puppy-love yet, either ( ), and I'd need to think about what I'd sing to her.Right away I can say I'd sing "When It Thunders" by Jason Upton.Baby look up there’s our star in the middle of the skyShining where we are to comfort you and IWhile I hold you in the dark I hope you see the lightAnd the passion of my heart in this simple lullaby Daddy don’t sleep. Daddy don’t slumberI don’t wonder when it thundersIf I’m safe in daddy’s arms (repeat)Daddy look up there’s our star I hear you say to meSomething deep inside says I never want to leaveSo I need for you to know whenever I goGod is in control and you are in His arms

I am the same as Mopar. I sing to my girl, though not as often as I should. My selection of songs is similar to his, though there are a few more that I have sung to her. Can't remember what they are at the moment, though.

I sing while grooming my dogs. Sometimes I sing sea shanties. There's also a song with words something like:when you love me like thiswhen you love me like thatwhen you love me like thiswell it's all coming back to me.LTD

Back in the forties I used to sing "take me out to the ball game" as an interaction to my lover that I was in the mood for some loving. Some time it got a little awkward went that song was playing on the radio while I had visitors.

I used to sing to my horses, dogs and other animals all the time, I practiced in the stables during my chores for my singing competitions...I sang to my horse Buck while he took his last breath, his favorite song I would sing was "Angels Amoung Us." I held his head in my lap as he slowly died and sang it to him while I stroked his mane. I've never been able to sing it since, it's too sacred and painful of a memory now.I still sing, always, my animals usually have seemed to like it and if they didn't I'd try not to bother them with it...most of my horses were adorable and would nod their heads and stamp their feet along with the tune and nicker when I'd sing the high notes, like they wanted to sing too.

I've always wanted to sing the Babe theme, but I never found the complete set of lyrics. It starts out "If I had words..." but Farmer Hoggett trails off half-way through switches to dancing. I can't understand a word when the mice sing it.

I sing to my dogs all the time ... I think they like it ... they howl along sometimes. Maybe that means I'm a bad singer, I dunno.
